Derek Sivers is the founder of CD Baby, an online music store for independent musicians.

Sivers was a circus clown and professional musician. He started sellng his own music on his personal site and, after watch the site success, his musician friends asked Derek to sell their music. CD Baby was born. CD Baby has been the largest seller of independent music on the web, with over $100M in sales for over 150,000 musician clients.

In 2008, Derek sold CD Baby to focus on his new ventures to benefit musicians.
